Words I avoid like the plague

Of course I am not the know all to end all. Each reader and writer has her/his preference, but there are certain words that 'put me off' a story. Sometimes I can recover and enjoy it, and sometimes I can't. I was reading a story today that sparked the notion to type this blog. I won't mention the story, because I do not believe in giving negative feedback on personal opinion about any story I might read. "One man's trash...." and all that as the saying goes. However, the story prompted me to analyze words I can't stand in a story and never use myself. The list of words are blunt in nature. As this is understood to be an adult oriented website.

1. penis--ahhh! I know, I know, it is the technical term for the male sexual organ. Used in a story IMO it takes away from the erotic/romantic feel. Penis is soooo clinical. It's the word you learn in grade school. It always reminds me of health class. Yech! I prefer cock or dick, honestly if you're going to be naughty why not go all the way? To me its like using the word vagina.

Tell me something does this sound sexy to you? George said, "Mmmm you have a huge penis." Blech! :{

2. butt--haha. I know completely immature and yet I can't help myself. This term always tickles my funny bone. It always throws me for a loop and I have to make a concious effort to get back into the story. One of my favorite authors favors this word so I'm used to seeing it, but I'll tell you I still grin like a loon when I see it. I prefer ass. Oddly enough buttock doesn't elicit the same reaction.

Here see what I'm talking about. "Fuck," Sean groaned, "lick my butt some more." *shakes head*

man breasts--yes, men have breasts 'technically' but I prefer not to point that out. Men breast being called such or worse *tits* is just wrong. I'm instantly put off upon reading this.

cock snot--slime-honey, etc--this term does not usually make it into the professional world of publishing, but I've read independent work and free reads where these terms were used and I always get a bit squeamish.

Anus-- Dunno, its not my cup of tea. I'll describe this particular part of the anatomy as hole, or opening, or I'll describe how it looks.

Cunt- always seems like an insult to me. Of course I don't use any females in my current stories, at least not ones having sex.
