No such luck--computer f'cked

We are all familiar with the care instructions that come along with our rather expensive and prized technological wares--such as the computer for example. Don't drop, spill fluids, use abrasive cleaning agents, expose to direct sunlight, overheat, place on uneven surfaces, or keep the computer in temperatures which might indicate the sun had exploded. So, why when I have insured all of these things, for there can be no virus or worm which I am aware of in my meticulous and well plotted web activity; I have neither dropped, nor exposed my computer to withering temperatures, and yet... it still insists on behaving badly? Today I discovered that I can not type on MS Word without the cursor jumping around the page, my USB port is no longer recognizable, and the internet has refused me a certificate. My computer is less then a year old, but well into it's first temper tantrum.

Now, to the average citizen (not including web fanatics) this would appear only a mild problem, but to me who has to write EVERY single day, this is like cutting off my pinky. Okay, okay, maybe it's not nearly as painful, but... its really sucks. I've put in an order for a new laptop. I fully intend to get this one repaired, but I've always known I wanted two laptops--one for fun and the other for my career as a writer. I figure I'll just be getting another one sooner then later. this one is a highly recommended model with better memory, and color--Espresso. he!

Ah, well, we shall see how this one goes.

Words I avoid like the plague

Of course I am not the know all to end all. Each reader and writer has her/his preference, but there are certain words that 'put me off' a story. Sometimes I can recover and enjoy it, and sometimes I can't. I was reading a story today that sparked the notion to type this blog. I won't mention the story, because I do not believe in giving negative feedback on personal opinion about any story I might read. "One man's trash...." and all that as the saying goes. However, the story prompted me to analyze words I can't stand in a story and never use myself. The list of words are blunt in nature. As this is understood to be an adult oriented website.

1. penis--ahhh! I know, I know, it is the technical term for the male sexual organ. Used in a story IMO it takes away from the erotic/romantic feel. Penis is soooo clinical. It's the word you learn in grade school. It always reminds me of health class. Yech! I prefer cock or dick, honestly if you're going to be naughty why not go all the way? To me its like using the word vagina.

Tell me something does this sound sexy to you? George said, "Mmmm you have a huge penis." Blech! :{

2. butt--haha. I know completely immature and yet I can't help myself. This term always tickles my funny bone. It always throws me for a loop and I have to make a concious effort to get back into the story. One of my favorite authors favors this word so I'm used to seeing it, but I'll tell you I still grin like a loon when I see it. I prefer ass. Oddly enough buttock doesn't elicit the same reaction.

Here see what I'm talking about. "Fuck," Sean groaned, "lick my butt some more." *shakes head*

man breasts--yes, men have breasts 'technically' but I prefer not to point that out. Men breast being called such or worse *tits* is just wrong. I'm instantly put off upon reading this.

cock snot--slime-honey, etc--this term does not usually make it into the professional world of publishing, but I've read independent work and free reads where these terms were used and I always get a bit squeamish.

Anus-- Dunno, its not my cup of tea. I'll describe this particular part of the anatomy as hole, or opening, or I'll describe how it looks.

Cunt- always seems like an insult to me. Of course I don't use any females in my current stories, at least not ones having sex.

Pictures of the week #2

Belatedly I noticed the similiarity in all my pics. See if you can find it. :O)

News! News! Read all about it!

Good news folks.

1. I Takes a Thief is being released this February
2. Getting a new website. Yep, no more freewebs ,the 'hot' new site is being set up now.
3. Writing another twincest novel. Yeppers, 'Torn' did so well that I'm writing another novel. So far its tentively titled. "The Lazarus Project" here is the synopsis

In a time when power wielding heroes are the everyday norm, Samael and his twin brother Kristian are the exception.

Born with the power of life and death, Samael holds the power to save lives and Kristian holds the power to destroy it.

One twin revered as a hero, another ostracized as a villain, the only thing holding these two together are a love that goes beyond anything the world has known.

Not two souls but one, Samael is tested as never before when his brother finds acceptance in the company of a true villain. A man, who plans to use his brother Kristian as a weapon of ultimate power, also has plans to use Samael to gain eternity to do it. (This story is uncontracted at this time but I have three publishers in mind where I want to submit. This story is not likely to be released under my current publisher.
4. "Torn" Made it to number one bestseller at All Romance Ebooks, Yay! I'm tickled blue (I don't like pink)

Pictures of the week

Okay so I have decided to post three pics every week. (since I'm the forgetful type I won't set a certain day but I'll try for Sunday or Monday since it begins the week. Sometimes the pics will be controversial, crazy, or breathtaking. All of them will have one thing in common. IMHO they are all in need of a second look.

1. Dangerous (hmmm you can see why) Ouch!
2. Angel in Chains (not the name of the photo but thats what I call it)
3. Name unknown, but I thought it was beautiful its also the current pic for my yahoo group this week.
